Logging Into Muck Rack
When logging into Muck Rack, you will use the email address that was used to invite you to the platform. See the instructions below for what this process should look like, and feel free to reach out if you run into any issues when trying to log in to Muck Rack.
How to Log In
Navigate to the Muck Rack website.
Select the Log In button in the top right-hand corner.
If you organization has configured Single Sign-On (SSO), select the link below the log in box. If not, enter your email address and password, then select the Log in button.
If you have access to more than one organization in Muck Rack (i.e. you work for an agency with access to a brand's Muck Rack instance), you can switch between accounts by selecting your name in the top right-hand corner, then selecting the name of the appropriate organization from the dropdown menu.
How to Reset Your Password
Navigate to the Password Reset page.
Enter your email address and select the Reset password button.
Per the message that appears, check your email. It will come from the email address hello@muckrack.com and have the subject line of "Password reset on Muck Rack." It should arrive in less than a minute.
Select the link in the email.
Enter a new password in the top text field under Reset your password, confirm it by entering it into the bottom text field, then select the Reset my password button.
Password Requirements
Muck Rack's password requirements are designed to align with modern security standards. All new passwords must meet the requirements listed below:
Must contain at least 10 characters
Must meet at least 3 out of the following 4 complexity rules:
at least 1 uppercase character (A-Z)
at least 1 lowercase character (a-z)
at least 1 digit (0-9)
at least 1 special character (punctuation)

I don't want to pay for an authentication app; can you just email a code to log in? | Most authentication apps are free. If you're encountering any app requiring a fee, we recommend not using it and instead using Google Authenticator or Authy.

What is two-factor authentication (2FA)? | Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Muck Rack account. It requires anyone who tries to log into your account to have your email address, your password, and a one-time code sent to or available from your mobile device. |
How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA)? | You can choose to set up two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or MFA) either via an authentication app (popular ones are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy) or via text message.

I'm not receiving the two-factor authentication (2FA) code. What do I do? | First, in your authentication app:
If you are still unable to retrieve the authentication code for any reason, we can assist by resetting the 2FA on your account. You will then be prompted to set up a new method to use the next time you log in.
