How does Muck Rack create profiles?

Muck Rack aggregates publicly available information about people and organizations producing media and content from around the world. Learn more about how Muck Rack profiles are created in our help center.

How can I claim a profile?

Claim with email

  1. The first step is to create a user account on MuckRack.com with an email address you will always have access to, even after a job change, so you'll never get locked out of your Muck Rack profile.

  2. After you create a user account, we’ll send you a confirmation email, just to make sure it’s you.

  3. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you can start customizing your new Muck Rack profile. After adding your work email address in the Contact Information section, Muck Rack will merge the automatically created profile with the new user account you've created

Claim using Twitter with a new account

  1. If you are new to Muck Rack, the first step is to create a user account on MuckRack.com, with an email address you will always have access to, even after a job change, so you'll never get locked out of your Muck Rack profile.

  2. After you create a user account, we’ll send you a confirmation email, just to make sure it’s you.

  3. Once your email is confirmed, you'll be guided to connect your Muck Rack account to your Twitter account.

  4. When linked, the account you created will be merged with the automatically created profile, and you can begin customizing your newly claimed page.

Claim using Twitter with an existing account

  1. Login to your MuckRack.com account.

  2. If a Muck Rack profile already exists for you and is associated with your Twitter account, you can claim a page that has your Twitter handle listed by connecting that Twitter account in the social links section of your Muck Rack profile. Doing this will automatically merge the page you found with your Muck Rack account.
