About publisher data on Muck Rack

Muck Rack provides users with access to article engagement metrics directly from the publisher. For a growing number of publishers, Muck Rack users can purchase a comprehensive report (like the one below) including metrics like page views and engaged time.

These reports are a great way to precisely quantify the impact of a specific piece of coverage, persuasively tell the story about why it mattered, and help drive future strategy.

How to purchase a report

  1. Run a Who Shared My Link report for the article you’re interested in
  2. If publisher data is available, you’ll see the option to purchase the report on the left side of the page. Click the link.
  3. We’ll send you a one-time payment form to complete the $100 charge for each report.
  4. Once you’ve completed the form, we’ll email you a PDF and excel copy of your report.

Publisher Data FAQ

Where does the data come from?

Muck Rack receives the data in our publisher data reports directly from publishers, through our exclusive partnership with Memo. We can provide a report for any article from a growing list of a publishers who have agreed to share their data.

When is publisher data available?

We only have access to publisher data for articles from outlets that have already partnered with Memo. That list of outlets is always growing and changing. You can tell if publisher data is available for an article after running a Who Shared My Link report.  If available, you’ll see an option to purchase the report above the report’s export options. Learn more about which outlets to try this with here.

Can I request a report for the same article, updated with more current data?

Yes! You only need to pay for the report for each article once and you can request updates from our team. Reach out to us and we’ll send you an up-to-date report.

Will this data be available in my coverage reports?

Since this data is only available on an article-by-article basis, it is not currently included in Coverage Reports.
