There are few common error messages you may see when connecting your email address to Pitches. If you are seeing one of the errors listed on this page, please follow the steps below:
Error: “Status 401: Invalid credentials or protocol is not enabled...”
Our email integration uses EWS (Exchange Web Services) and EAS (Exchange Active Sync). To verify if you have ActiveSync enabled, follow the instructions below. Note: it’s best to have your IT administrator do this!
How to check if ActiveSync is enabled
Select the Exchange ActiveSync tile.
Fill out all fields with your information. Make sure to check Ignore Trust for SSL.
Select Perform Test.
If the test results are successful, no further action is required. You can try reconnecting your email to Muck Rack again here by selecting Connect Email.
If you receive a Connectivity Test Failed message, select the Save as HTML button and send the resulting file to us at support@muckrack.com so that we can investigate further.
