Journalists can now add their pronouns to their profile, making Muck Rack a more inclusive place and enabling users to understand how a journalist identifies. Once added, pronouns are displayed beneath the journalist's name on their profile.

This enables Muck Rack users to view a journalist’s pronoun prior to outreach, in addition to ensuring journalists can represent their gender identity to all members of their network.

Follow these steps to fill in your pronouns:

  1. Log in to your Muck Rack account

  2. Click Your profile in the top bar and select Edit profile

  3. Navigate to the Bio & Title section

  4. Scroll down to Pronouns and select from the presets or custom if your choice is not included

    1. If you do select custom, an open text field will appear for you to fill in.

  5. Click Save changes
