Inserting and resizing an image

When composing or personalizing the content of your Pitch:

  1. Click the Image icon

  2. Choose an image from your computer

  3. Resize or align the image as needed

Attaching files

You can add files such as PDFs or documents when composing your pitch. Keep in mind that each attachment can be up to 2 MB (megabytes) and up to 3 attachments can be added per pitch. Each email sent via Muck Rack can be up to 25 MB total.

To add any files to a pitch you're sending:

  1. Click the hyperlink below the text box to select files or click the paperclip icon

  2. Choose a file(s) from your computer

Can you embed videos in a Pitch?

Most email clients (including Gmail and Outlook) cannot play embedded videos.

A common workaround is embedding an image or a GIF of the video in your email. Then, hyperlink the image to your video hosted on another website (e.g. YouTube).

To hyperlink an embedded image or GIF:

  1. Click the image icon to upload a picture (e.g. a screenshot from your video)

  2. Insert the image

  3. Highlight the image

  4. Click the link icon

  5. Enter the URL of the video

  6. Click Save

Note that you have to convert any MP4 files to a GIF before trying to upload it in the Pitches composer above.

If you're going with a static JPG image instead of a GIF, usually you’ll want the image to be at least 600px or wider.
