Now, when a journalist is removed from Muck Rack or hides their profile, PR users can continue to access relationship data for that journalist.

Get alerted the moment your brand is mentioned in a print magazine and access the full text and digital image of the page. Muck Rack monitors thousands of the world’s leading magazines from publishers like Condé Nast and Hearst, spanning categories from automotive, fashion & beauty, entertainment and music to travel, home, business & technology, sports and news. Included for Premier customers and offered as an Add-On with Starter and Standard.

Muck Rack automatically analyzes the text of an article, determines what the article is about, and assigns topics. Now you can see a list of Topics that a journalist has covered most in the last 12 months. These topics are always up to date and visible on Journalist Profiles and People Search Result. Coming soon: you'll be able to use Topics as a filter in People Search!

The search input bar is always accessible at the top of the page as you scroll down search results, so it’s easier to refer to view or modify the search query even if you are scrolled down on the Search page.

Now when clicking "Send Pitch" from a Media List, you can apply filters and select people from across multiple pages of the Media List, and more easily indicate which people should be included in the pitch.

You will no longer lose track of coverage in evergreen content that has been updated. When Muck Rack detects an update to evergreen content, we will process and store that as new article content, and older iterations of evergreen content will remain available for discovery and reporting.

Access article data programmatically through the Muck Rack API. Users with saved article searches on Muck Rack can access the results of that search within their internal systems or BI tools. Available as an add-on for Premier packages.

From a Presentation, users can now click on data points with graphs and charts to instantly view the underlying articles that contribute to those data points. This functionality is also available to non-MR users, allowing everyone to explore the data behind each point with ease.

Muck Rack will automatically analyze the text of an article, determine what the article is about, and assign up to 4 Topics. Users can view the topics associated with an article, and use those topics as a filter within a search. It greatly simplifies and enhances the experience of Boolean searches, helping users find what they are looking for while excluding irrelevant results.

You can now manage, edit, and review recipient lists while navigating through the Personalization stage of your Pitch, making the process a little simpler. Read more about Pitching with Muck Rack.

No need to open a new browser tab every time you want to research a journalist. Now you can click on a journalist name in Muck Rack, and view details about that journalist in an “at a glance” side panel instead of having to open the journalist profile in another tab. We have updated the steps for creating alerts to make it easier and more consistent across Muck Rack. You can more easily understand the available alert types (email, digest, Slack) and create the alert that works best for you.

Easily view the most relevant and impactful results. You can now sort article search results and digests by relevance. Relevancy is a combination of prominence, recency, and outlet quality metrics. We’ve also updated the “relevance” sort within People search to consider the recency and outlet quality of articles. Visit our help center to learn how to improve your search.

Muck Rack is now monitoring The Information, a publication that focuses on deeply reported articles about the technology industry.

Using the "Outlet List" button, verified journalists can now easily view and organize outlets they follow, enhancing the ability to gather, verify, and report news, or even keep tabs on the competition.

Journalists now have access to the Job Updates section in Muck Rack. This information helps journalists maintain relationships, stay informed about fellow journalists making moves, and even keep tabs on the competition. It can also be a resource for freelance journalists looking for help with sources, collaboration, or finding a job.

Evaluate how well messages are embedded in articles with Word Clouds, a new Dashboard widget. This widget shows users the most frequent key terms present in the selected Search or Coverage Report, normalized for the commonality of the term in regular text on the internet. You can now create a Dashboard widget for Total Broadcast AVE Over Time, to visualize the advertising value (AVE) for all your Broadcast Clips in a line graph. This is particularly useful for those who want to identify spikes or dips in Broadcast value or showcase how your Broadcast imprint changes over the course of a year. Syndicated articles are now grouped together on a journalist's profile to avoid filling it with repetitive content. You can quickly see the diverse range of articles by a journalist. You have the ability to streamline your PR projects by assigning specific Pitch Owners to each contact within a Media List. This feature enhances collaboration and organization when you are managing a large group of journalists for a particular pitch.

For instance, if you're working on an event and need to pitch to 500 journalists, you can collectively curate and assign these journalists to a dedicated Media List. Each team member can then be assigned specific journalists to contact. This setup allows you to efficiently filter and manage your pitches, ensuring that the right person is communicating with the right journalist at the right time, directly from the Media List during the pitch creation process.
